artist corporation!?

i watched this video of a TED talk given by

Yancey Strickler

in which he proposes the idea of the ARTIST CORPORATION, or A-CORP.

This is an idea that has been percolating in my mind for a while. How do we get like minded individuals to exert their collective creative energy as a force in the market place.

Corporations are well organized machines that throw their collective will, that takes its shape as giant bags of money, to change landscapes, literal and figurative, to fit their needs. How do we as artists and creatives leverage this will.

Is the A CORP the answer?

It is quite the intriguing proposition, and the proposed structure is mutually beneficial for all members as well.

It’s always exciting for me to think of the next new venture.

I hope i can convince a few of my fellow artists to run this gauntlet with me.
